General Research

Direct/Indirect Competitors- International/ Domestic To get an overview of the market scenario and analyze what works and what does not (potential offerings).

Quick User Research

Fortunately, I knew some teachers who had engaged with similar platforms like BitClass. I did a quick user interview on 5 participants for a quick user insights. Their pain points, frustrations and how well can I address them in my design.

Findings and Analysis

• Search Bar should be clearly visible
• Information overload can confuse users and prompt them to leave
• Segmented and Categorised navigation tabs gives a much better user experience as opposed to options available in the menu bar
• Sometimes fonts are too small for elderly users

Scenario

Ms. Rina is a 56 year old school teacher who also gives tutions at her home after school hours. Due to the pandemic she has been left unemployed for a while. A friend suggested her to join Bitclass and continue her profession there.

The problem is Rina feels intimidated with technology and hesitates to join such platforms.

The solution: If the app can be as closely related to the reality it will help people like Rina feel welcomed to such platforms.
