About This Project

Design Brief

Kunal is a 30 year old married man with one child, his wife goes for work on the weekdays and their child goes to school. Given this situation, neither of them have time for cooking except dinner. They have a cook who comes in the morning to make them their breakfast and lunch. They order groceries from Big Basket/ Grofers on a weekly basis.

Kunal and his wife want to eat healthy but don’t know how they would plan their meals on a daily basis.

Design an iOS App which uses AI to help Kunal and their family with their meal planning. Kunal will plan his meal weekly/biweekly for his whole family. Give importance to their individual preferences in food and allergies.

Problem Identification

1. Food the cook makes isn’t very healthy for their child or them. (Eg: adds excess oil)
2. The cook’s preparations become repetitive after a point.
3. Kunal wants to eat right but at the same time not able to because he only has control over buying the groceries.

Research

I did a quick general research of potential competitors and products offering similar services to determine the look and feel of my product. Also it gave me clarity on how I wanted to proceed with the UX before implementing the same on the UI.
